NASCAR's Digital Dashboard

Technology has come to NASCAR! At least with the Sprint Cup Series. The digital dash is nice, but still no speedometer to keep drivers from speeding on pit road.
 
It cannot be read at a glance like you can with the gauges, it's easy to see if the needles point straight up. Another ton of money the teams have to come up with!

That is a good point, but I'm sure the digits will change colors when approaching or exceeding limits, just like the current LED illuminated analog style gauges.
