Native FSX B737 200 ?

There's a FSX version of the Kittyhawk 727-200. No VC, and not FSX native, though.

We need a good 737-200 for FSX.

I use the vista liners one currently and it is pretty good, although would like to see a version as you say with VC and bump mapping as wel as some extra detail in there.

Cheers

Your not alone.

Over at the CaptainSim site, in the "What aircraft would you like to see CS make?" poll, the "737-100/200" is still the most wanted model specific request, by a slim margin over the C-17.

I had the old FS9 TinMouse 737-200 running in FSX for a while. Model looked okay , but lack of a working panel and no vc meant that I had to mothball it :(

Sorry to revive an old thread....just wondering if anyone knows of any new plans in the pipeline for a native fsx B737-200?:kilroy:

Cheers, Bjoern. :ernae:
Did Erick Cantu make his 737 gmax source files available as freeware? If so maybe they could be run through the FSX SDK in order to get a native exterior and the default 738 cockpit could be mated to it until someone could scratch build an authentic -200 VC? :engel016:

Ha! No way I'm gonna put a NG's VC into a -200!

Well, hunt down the source files and I'll see if I can get them into 3DS Max.
(However, this doesn't mean that I'm going to come up with a FSX native model in two weeks...more like in two years or so.)

Anyone know for definite if Erick Cantu's source files for the Tinmouse are available?

I doubt it.

Well, an easy way would be to just try to repaint some textures of the 738's VC and swapping the LCDs with classical instuments. This would eliminate the whole modeling process, but it would also inherit all the default bugs.
