Nav-Landing Lights Going Away Over Time In P3D Version 2

Happy Holidays all!

I can find a few threads online on the subject, but no solution. I'm guessing my issue might be caused by version 2 being DirectX11. If I change my aircraft exterior lights to something I like better (including shockwave lights), they appear and work fine when I initially load the plane and fly for a few minutes. Then I lose them.

I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing this and am curious if there is a work around. Anyone else having this issue? Cheers!

I believe someone posted a cure to this, to change the max texture limit to 4096, fly a bit, then change it back to the setting you had, and that fixed it. I could be wrong, but I think that was the fix.

This keeps the nav lights from turning square, which might be what you have?

C'mon Build 2.1. Lets get those fixes. :)

Mine isn't the square lights issue. They look great initially and then after a few minutes, they just go away. I know about changing the texture resolution to resolve rendering issues, especially the trees, but that doesn't appear to be the issue. Can't wait for the 2.1 update. It's my understanding that they might release a 2.05 patch within the next week or so.

Ahhh... . Ok, this is the illuminated textures bug. Anything that 'glows' that is mounted to polygons such as some gauge lights in the VC, nav lights that have glowing surfaces (instead of effects) such as some 3D landing lights are definitely malfunctioning and will be repaired with the 2.1 update.

I guess P3D are hitting every bug for the 2.1 update or it would have been out by now.
