Can anyone recommend a good naval base scenery? I have been looking for something to fly my VRS Superhornet from but havent come up with much. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Andrew

John Stinstrom has created quite a few. My favorite is Whidbey Island NAS. Just do a search for his name either on Avsim or Flightsim.

[FONT=verdana, sans-serif]File Description:
After a hard day of trapping it's nice to have a roost where you can stretch your legs so fly on into North Island. Enjoy a low stress landing on our long concrete runways and relax on our spacious aprons. After debriefing, take a walk along the palm studded beaches and drop by the Island Club for a nightcap. This particular scenery package attempts to capture North Island towards the end of it's fixed-wing heyday; say circa 1992. Contains custom and default objects with photoreal terrain.

A couple of Naval AI pkgs from MAIW that have additional/included sceneries or some neat additions.

all at avsim:

NAS Miramar Top Gun Complete AI Package
maiw_top_gun.zip

USN/USMC Special Use Mentors Complete AI Package
(This package also features custom scenery of NAS Lemoore.)
maiw_special_use_mentors.zip

Add to the Whidbey pkg by John Stinstrom
USN EP-3E Complete AI Package
maiw_ep-3e.zip

Export Hawks Part 6: NAS Meridian Hawks Complete AI Package
(In addition this package features full custom scenery for NAS Meridian by John Stinstrom.)
maiw_nas_meridian_hawks.zip

May I suggest the home base of the entire Pacific Fighter Group

NAS Lemoore??

There is Fs9 scenery for it as Avsim under knlc.zip

It is, after all Bug Heaven

That file was okay when it was released but the scenery by John Stinstrom blows it out of the water. I know, I've been to KNLC numerous times in my Naval career.

Quote dogknot...

"USN/USMC Special Use Mentors Complete AI Package
(This package also features custom scenery of NAS Lemoore.)
maiw_special_use_mentors.zip"

John Stinstrom also did NAF El Centro just east of San Diego near the Salton Sea and MAIW released an AI package for MCAS Yuma that has a compleate Marine Base and updated civilian side. Those too are at AVSIM.

I'd like to see a good NAWS China Lake or NAS Fallon package myself. Preferably both.

I have a scenery package for NAS China Lake produced by William Peeters which is visited by various aircraft from MAIW packages.

Regards Paul Day.

Be careful with the Transload scenery, it replace's your taxi-runway textures, which is mentioned in the read-me,
If your impatiant like me and never read read-me's, you'll slip up. Now, where did i put my FS9 disk's :faint:
cheers ian
