• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I recently was searching for a good sound file for the G4M2 Betty. I could not find anything specifically made for the old girl.In my research I found that the Betty and the H8k2 Emily shared the same engine. The Kasei-22.
I further found that the FS2004 Emily by Aidan R. McCaffrey had a Kasei engine file. It would not work for me in CFS2 so I made a new CFG file for it and redid it for 2 engines and it work really well.I then redid the 4 engine sound file for the Emily so we would have a Kasei sound file for both of them. Now comes the Problem. Try as I might I can not contact Aidan R. McCaffrey to get permision to upload it.The E-mail in his readme is no good. He put the wave files together ,maybe made some of them,I don't know.He did not thank anyone for making the sound files so I must presume that they are his.I even went looking for any new stuff he might have made which would have a new E-mail address.Nothing.His readme says the plane is freeware but says nothing about posting parts of it.Need advice .Upload the files or forget it.Jag or Rami might be the ones to decide this.

I hope they make a favorable decision. I know its important to give credit who ever deserve credit. But you if tried and you cannot get a proper reponse. Then I believe one should have the right to upload as long as you give the proper written credit to who ever deserve it as the originator of the given upload.

If said originator of the upload should have the right to terminate the upload if he or her do not aprove of his creation to be uploaded at a later date if he so choses.

This is just my opinion!

Thanks for the input Miami. I am leaning that way myself but I kinda want an "official "Ok for this. I've heard the new sheriff:cowboy: is kinda tough.:Banane44: :bananajump: :sniper:
