Need help finding a missing thread or opinions

There was a thread about how to disable A/C in fsx by editing out the panel so the A/C does not show up for flying but is still used by AI. I cant remember if you put the word off in the panel line in the config or do you put somthing else.

just delete the panel cfg or rename it to panel.bak
