Need Help Starting Engine

With P3

Spent an hour with no luck, all I get is a flashing "Press <E> to start engine" tried that every which way, nothing.

Tried the manual start as per CFS3, nothing.

Is there a key im not hitting here? does the sim start paused?

Could use a hand, thx.

Have a clean install CFS3.1, OFF P3 and 1.1 patch loaded.

I know this sounds crazy, hold E down for like 10 seconds :ernae:

Hi Squire,

please do the following, start your game, get to the point where your sitting ther trying to start your engine.

Then open the menu tab in the upper right corner by pressing the escape key. from the list of options select controls.

this will open a control options window. in the first drop down menu at the top of the page, select engine commands. then scroll down the list until you find the entry for engine auto start. look to the right side of the page to see what key has been mapped to this function. (it doesnt matter what key it is set to, it will allways flash press E in game to start your engines)

If this is set to E, then try starting a flight in QC but do not select the runway as your start point, select say 5000ft.. then land your plane shut donw the engine using control+shift+F6 and then try to restart your plane using the auto start. then go back to a campaign flight and see if you can start your engines from the start.

regards Rob.

Erm... it's not like, having capslock on or something is it? I haven't tried, just a thought. Good luck
