Hi, today i finally bough new joystick (rest in piece my old trusty cyborg force), and new one is cyborg f.l.y. 5,im very happy with possibility to control two throttle axis, but how do i set it up for more than two engines, so i can fly ju-52 or connies?

There are very few options.

One you could set up your joystick so you have only one axis for all throttles. Set the other axis up to be prop control.

Purchase the registered version of FSUIPC. With it you can create profiles so that when you fly the Ju-52 it sees only the one axis as throttle control. This leaves the second axis useless but it better than having to go in and make that change manually.

Another option would be to purchase an add on throttle quadrant. This would give you three more axis for a total of 5. That would cover 4 throttles and leave one for prop control or mixture.

Two axis control is nice but only leaves you wanting more.

Better to go our and purchase the whole shooting match in the form of 4 saitek throttle quadrants. This will give you 4 throttles, 4 props, and 4 mixtures.

Another thing that you could do is create an xml gauge that sets the throttle of #3 engine to the average of #1 and #2 engines.
Then you edit the aircraft and panel files (of triple engined planes) so that #2 engine is on the right wing and #3 is center.
You then set both throttles to control #1 and #2 engines.

You can do the same for 4 engined planes.
#1 and #2 become the outboard engines and #3 and #4 the inboard engines.
#3 and #4 are then automatically set to somewhere (you can decide on the exact ratio) in between #1 and #2.

this sounds very interesting and would be very cool,
if i only knew how to;

"...create an xml gauge that sets the throttle of #3 engine to the average of #1 and #2 engines.
Then you edit the aircraft and panel files (of triple engined planes) so that #2 engine is on the right wing and #3 is center.
You then set both throttles to control #1 and #2 engines.

#1 and #2 become the outboard engines and #3 and #4 the inboard engines.
#3 and #4 are then automatically set to somewhere (you can decide on the exact ratio) in between #1 and #2."

any ideas where one might learn
how to perform these wonders?

I just realised that a better method is to use glovepie and ppjoy.
Ppjoy is a virtual joystick and glovepie can read a real joystick, run a script and then control ppjoy.

Setup FS to use 4 ppjoy axes for the engines while not using the real throttles.
Glovepie then reads the real axes and adjusts the ppjoy axes according to the script.

If you include in the script a method of telling it how many engines you wish to use this can work with any plane with no need to edit any FS files.
