There I was minding my own bidness, in the Boeing Stratoliner cruising at 15,000ft heading up the east coast just off of Savannah Georgia when I spotted something in the water below. At first, I'm thinking it was a ship of some kind, but it didn't look quite right. I've been messing with FS9 since it first came out almost 10 years ago and this is the first time I've seen one of these in default scenery.

There is one correctly located just off....

...Fort Morgan Alabama. In real life there are several rigs there and around the bend in Mobile Bay. But the one in FS9 is just about smack dab where the biggest one is in real life.

Darn, I flew over the Alabama Gulf Coast yesterday on my way to the east coast. I did see something odd down there but just thought it was probably an aircraft carrier that I put off of Mobile from a distance.

In the past in FS9 I've been buzzing around about 150-200NM off the NC coast and saw one of these - there is another one about the same distance due east of Boston, MA. Don't know how they were placed but they all seem to be around the same distance from the coast.

Hey Willy... Did it say "BP" on it? You prolly couldn't tell from that altitude. Now you have me curious as to if I can land a Harrier Jet or a helicopter of some sort there. Just dispatched an EP-3E Aires to that location to check it out. LOL....:applause:

I was too busy heading for Charleston from Jacksonville to stop and say hello to 'em. :icon_lol:
