NachtPiloten Kurier auf Stube...pauke! Staff member Dec 11, 2009 #11 Lefty Thanks. What book are these pictures from?
lefty SOH-CM-2023 Dec 11, 2009 #12 The external front turret view is from Profile 189 - Short Sunderland. All the others are from Clarke's 'British Aircraft Armament Vol 1 - RAF Gun Turrets'. The latter is difficult to get - Vol 2 comes up on the Bay regularly but this one is much rarer. And if you are into turrets it's a must ! (I have a duplicate copy of each which I am saving for a rainy day....)

lefty SOH-CM-2023 Dec 12, 2009 #14 OK, here is the skeleton - don't have a good close-up of the turret in a Botha, but the Sunderland installation is very similar. Incidentally, these turrets were all made by Parnall Aircraft.
