Mesh, scenery, water, trees, runways etc. ... What's the best stuff to install to give new legs to FS2002? Will FS2004 scenery work? Primarily interested in USA but any general improvements, not specific airports.

I don't have FS2002...have been thinking about getting it to combine the FS2002 scenery with CFS2 to create a Combat Flight Sim with world wide scenery.....but I am pretty sure (as in 100%) that Rhumbaflappy's LOD5, 7 and 8 mesh sets will work in FS2002 and give you a much better worldwide mesh. The freeware FSGenesis mesh for FS2002 is on Flightsim.com...not sure what it covers. Do a seach for Justin Tyme and you will find it.

Here's the link to Rhumbaflappy's site if you want to download his mesh:

Taking a browse through the FS2002 Scenery library on Simviation.com. I haven't tried these and the links are working right, so I will give you the author's name to help you locate them...will give you a link to the page these packages are on.

Ben Hartnett has a nice package of cliff texture replacements for both FS2002 and FS2004. Do a search for him on Simviation.com.

Excellent OBIO! Got all except the Northwest Territories ... link did not work. Will install tonight. :applause: :jump:

I can get to the first ink, but when I click the NW link, it opens a page , then click download, and I get this:

Incorrect file parameter. Please contact system administrator to fix this error

Thanks OBIO; I can probably find it elsewhere.

Meanwhile, can Silver Wings be used in FS2002?

EDIT: Never mind .. I see it does work there
