Need some research help

Looking for photographs of an Avro 504K that operated from Blackpool sands before world war 2 giving joy rides -- no idea what the registration was but it was painted overall Post Office red. Air BP featured it in a pen and ink drawing for their calendar in 1966.

Anyone help?

Cheers Moses....

That is EXACTLY the one -- The name Hinchcliffe even rang bells when I read the article -- The drawing that AirBP used must have been a very late version
as the registration appeared in white on the all red fabric without the white oval obviously -- I also remembered the enlarged back seat -- I'm not sure if it is mentioned in your article but I BELIEVE it was a bench that ran longitudinaly down the fuselage and the passengers straddled it.

Anyway now I can serve up something to PeterW for him to work on a repaint.

Thank you very much for your rapid response, I would LOVE to see your library

The name Hinchcliffe rang a bell with me too. He was lost in 1928 on a transatlantic attempt with Elsie MacKay, who wanted to be the first woman to fly the Atlantic. There's a rather odd book, "The Airmen Who Would Not Die" detailing alleged voices from beyond the grave, one of which was Hinchcliffe's.

Here's a link to a biography.
