Need to correct a mistake.....

I downloaded and installed the "Stuka radar strike for CFS3 BOB" package with it's three (3) missions into my CFS3 1.40 BoB Install. When I tried to fly the sim, the error msg hit me in the face that said, "xyz and abc aircraft not recognized", so I my 54 y/o pee brain deduced that I installed that package into the wrong wrong Bob install. After I delete these three .xml files from the main CFS3 older, are there any other files that need to be given last rights and blown-away? In the future, what is an easy way to distinguish between the CFS3_ETO BoB install and Pat Paddles BoB Package?

Best regards,

Sorry, Pat

My appologies to Pat Pattle for mis spelling his last name. A Freudian slip, I guess...figuring I was up the creek witout one :banghead:.

Hi panzer,

I'm afraid gosd is right, it's down to the readme.txt file :) . That package only contains missions so you can safely remove them from the install without adverse affects.

Or....if you want to use them in the ETO install open the missions in notepad and edit all of the aircraft for types you do have.
For example;

change <Unit ID="9429" Type="bob_spit_54" Skill="1" Payload="0"/>
to: <Unit ID="9429" Type="spit_MkIa" Skill="1" Payload="0"/>

the aircraft name must be the same as the .xdp file is named and not the main folder.

No worries on the name thingy, have been called far worse! :icon_lol:
