NEW Aermacchi MB-339

will give that version a try

other aermacchi MB339A I use is an older Lago/cloud9 payware which was released way before cloud9 designed their frecce advanced rendition

played the frecce advance in trial mode (time limited) and can confirm most detailed an advanced version of that plane although a bit hard on frames

Installed both packages and it is a nice trainer to fly and the way all the warning lights work adds some realism that you do not get on many aircraft. I prefer the older model with the analog cockpit and the colouful paintschemes.

Only for some reason the reference and checklist do not work. I can read them in Notepad but in FS I get the Internet Explorer can't open this page screen.

Found out how to fix the check and reference lists. In the aircraft.cfg you have to look for these lines:
kb_checklists =Aermacchi MB339 A_CHECK.TXT
kb_reference =Aermacchi MB339 A_REF.TXT

And change them into:
kb_checklists =Aermacchi MB339 A_CHECK
kb_reference =Aermacchi MB339 A_REF

The same thing has to be done for the MB339 CD version

Did you copy the complete MB339 gauges folder into the main Gauges folder as it said in the Readme? If you leave them in the Aircraft folder or put them in the Gauges folder as loose files it does not work.

I confirm what said by Felixthreeone, no gauges operating. Copied the complete content of MB 339 gauges in the main FS 9 Gauges folder, no joy.

Did you move over the entire folder, or just the contents of it? have to move the entire folder......

Hi guys,
many thanks for your suggestion. Now I have the analogic instruments operating, but the MFD/PFD screens are blank as before! I noted that, also on default FS9 aircraft, the GPS is unavailable. May be a connection with my problem? Suggestions? Many thanks.

It is an interesting subject with the option of having the smaller
profiled Wing Tip Tanks not offered with the Cloud9 payware.

But I have a sound problem

1. when choosing a flight with this "339" and starting a free flight
I first ear a loud "bip"

2. after that the internal cockpit sound is overlaping the external
sound on all options.

3. this internal sound stay "on" even after cancelling the flight and
the now "jammed" FS9 can be only shut off by using Ctrl+Alt+Enter
keys.

All my other freewares and paywares worked perfectly
The only problematic one is this MB-339A.

Conclusion

I have completey followed the install instructions offerred
but Mr Massimo Taccoli will have to review is copy

The gauge installation was already quite unusual and now this
sound problem.

An answer from Mr Massimo Taccoli himself would be greatly appreciated.

No problems installing this bird...
Haven't played "Catch the Airliner" for some time.
This one has Eric M's TCAS radar which makes the intercept pretty easy.
Handling is pretty snappy too, so you can ease up nice and close.
Probably worth a screenshot:
