That looks pretty good thanks. I have a problem though with AVSIM, the downloads take so long to activate now that they time out with an error page comming up. Never been that way before, and Flightsim.com, I have no problem with. Not sure whats up with AVSIM.

Same problem here. Noticed yesterday for the first time and problems still there 16 hours later. (which is right now)

Nice looking aircraft, downloaded this morning no problems. I find if I use Avsim during the day it works fine, but evenings and weekends it can be busy and the download window does not work....I just keep hitting the back button and after about 7 or 8 tries (if you can wait that long) the download usually appears.

Nice model all around. I even don't have a problem with the Russian gauges. Converting the metrics in my head takes some thought but we all need to exercise our minds from time to time.

From reading the manual (broken English but who cares) the flight model must be based on the C-130 as I don't think he could find published specs on the plane. It seems to fit very well.

Dowmloaded it (at last) some 2 hours ago. Still not without hitch, but its on my HD. Huge zipfile, BTW. Haven't tried out the beast yet, but it has better looks than Vlad's first version anyway.

Having no issues here regarding the AVSIM download, but the internet has been a bit quirky the last few weeks.

Fantastic work! I love the VC and the performance is very good for a FS9 model (i'm using FSX).
Only a few small problems in FSX, but i think all should be fixable. Very cool work - thanks a lot!
 
Doesn't Vladimir Zhyhulskiy and Dmitriy Smirnov have their own website, or isn't there another link to this model somewhere? Avsim has ceased to work for me as well.

Gotta try this after work! Thanks for the heads-up.

Avsim didn't work for a couple of days then I reset the cookies and it did.
 
I've been flying this over the last couple of days and I love it. :jump:

I've changed the gauges for the ASI , Alt , VSI & Radar Alt to suit me and found the flaps needed tweaking to .....

flaps-position.0= 0.000, 0.000
flaps-position.1= 15.000, 0.000
flaps-position.2= 30.000, 0.000
flaps-position.3= 45.000, 0.000

I'm hoping that someone would do some repaints to suit a fictional US or Canadian registered aircraft.

All in all it's a brilliant aircraft.

I'm reworking me old layered masters to fit the new model I'll do you a couple of civvies with US and Canadian serials.

I have been having trouble with Avsim as well but finally got this one to come through. Initially at the download page for the An-12 at Avsim, the site loads 2 header pages and gets "hung", not allowing access to the download link. So here's what I did to get it:

Start with a fresh log-in with your user ID and password at Avsim.
Search for "an12bkzh09.zip" (without quotes) in the Avsim Library, not specifically FS2004 Aircraft.
When it pulls up the page with the "an12bkzh09.zip" on it, view or zip-dive the file and open the pic of the plane within the file, then close out of it.
Back out to the screen where you have the option to download the file.
Click on the download tab.
Depending if you are running the Microsoft Firewall, you may get a warning at the top of the page, that's OK... just right click on it and accept the download.
That worked for me... and I know it sounds wacko... but it worked and I downloaded the file in about 14 mins on a high speed connection.

Who knows WTH is going on at Avsim... if anything at all. I had the same issue with some repaints that I wanted from that site and had to go through the same song and dance to get them... but it did the trick.
