New Apple Magic Mouse drivers

Lionheart

SOH-CM-2014
Hey all,

For those that have Apple hardware and may be going to the new Apple Magic Mouse, you will need drivers for Windows.

Download here; http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2009/11/14588/

Go here and click on either the 32 or 64 bit version of driver you need. Then go to your control panel, hardware, bluetooth and click Add. Turn the mouse off and then back on, wait for it to appear, then click through the questions menu to activate it. Your activation code is 0000. (quattro zero's).

I hope that helps the Mac people that are running games in Windows mode. This supposedly works fine for both WinXP and Win7. I dont know about vista.

Remember, do not download the Apple EXE file, download the 32 or 64 bit download from that file location. The Apple program would not work on mine.

By the way, this dang mouse is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thing rocks major big time, lololol...

The two finger swipe and 'momentum' effect do not function in Windows mode, but the rest does. The entire surface is the scrolling zone, lolol... In Apple mode, you can use two fingers to swipe left to right, right to left on the device and you advance through windows/webpages/photos, etc. Its a wild improvement.

I wish Apple had this already setup for Windows. They have nothing online at Apple for this except a Windows Bootcamp driver for Bluetooth, which doesnt work. A website figured out how to hack the installer and made it work and thats how people are getting them to finally work.

Oh well..

Mike... You need one of these! lol....

They are rare Eli.. Wise to order it.

In Phoenix, no apple store has them in stock. They get them in and they sell out the same day.

I lucked out and found some at BestBuy. I phoned, they said they had some, I went there expecting to find a different mouse. Sure enough, none on the shelf. But near them was a group of multi-packs for first time Apple Macbook buyers, a kit that has a bag, mouse, and something else. I asked one of the guys if I could get only the mouse. He said sure...! Whewww.... :d

On a side note. I cut out a piece of cardboard the size of 9 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches. This is the size of the iPad. Not very big. This will be one wild device. I still wonder what it would look like as a laptop with keyboard. Clunky I guess, and similar to a web book.

Some wild concepts..

Ohh...

You mean you got the wireless mouse already?

How about the wireless keyboard?

I actually like my wired keyboard. Also, I like having the NUM pad on the side. I use it alot. I will definately get a wireless Keyboard with the iPad for mobility purposes. They do make a wireless full size keyboard, but I am fine with mine presently.

I didnt think I would like the 'plate' like design, but I fell in love with it. Its the best keyboard I have ever owned. I thought I would miss tall buttons, but quickly adapted. One guy at one forum said, it uses laptop technology in the keyboard. I thought about it and I really think it does. How else could they make the darn thing so thin... And with as much as I use a keyboard every day, and my rough typing (hard on keys) the thing has lasted over a year and is doing quite good with no malfunctioning keys..

I work with numbers all day long at work. I have a keypad that I can hook to my laptop..... I have to have that otherwise I will be at lost at work :isadizzy:...

Roger that...

You know, after spending one day with this new mouse, I cant beleive I have lasted this long without one.... INCREDIBLE!

The entire surface is a scroll wheel, lol... and in Mac Mode, its a two finger swipe.

I just wish it had lite-tapping for selection instead of full clicking. That would be the whipped cream topping....
