New Auster from you know where

Just installed this new little beauty (term used loosely). -- the Auster Aircraft Agricola Duster. I prefer the spray setup as it covers a much wider area and is guaranteed to choke out the most persistent weeds and vermin.

Here are the new lights and stuff.

Agricola -

Just installed this new little beauty (term used loosely)

Glad you call the Agricola a new little beauty Racartron - nobody else has - built for action not looks :).
Another of Austers not so succesful offerings I'm afraid. Designed specifically for the New Zealand agriculture market, by the time they'd got it finished, the situation there had changed and their sales prospects had evaporated along with their money. :(
I see you've got it working in FSX - good - I don't run FSX so I'm unable to check my builds out in that sim.
B.T.W. - before anyone mentions it - no, the port undercarriage strut linkage isn't on back-to-front - they made it that way so that one u/c unit would fit on either side.
Cheers

Actually, I run fs9 not that new thingy. However, I very much appreciate the relentless efforts y'all display to bring every Auster brain child to us folks that can only fly -- not create.

I have a very large hanger devoted to these guys -- and gals and love fliting about the countryside in all of them. I always have at least two iterations on the ramp and ready to go whenever the need for speed gets too overwhelming.:icon_lol:

Thanks for the kind words - makes it all worthwhile!!

Don't think over the last few weeks of testing that have flown so low for so long!! (Not that Austers fly that high anyway!:))

Happy Landings,

Martin

A few short years ago I had only heard of Auster aircraft in a conversation once. Then I came across a odd looking airplane in a pic a friend posted of an airshow he attended that I could not put a name to. He informed me that this was an Auster...so now I had seen one, sort of.And then you guys started to build these things, en masse it seems. Each one an outstanding example of both visual and dynamic quality of the first order. This one while clearly a departure from the "classic" ones I am now quite familiar with is no exception in it's fidelity. A true to the original spartan, but nicely build aircraft that immediately transports the user into the somewhat crazy world of the Ag pilot. I tooled around with this little "beauty" fertilizing virtual fields as if I was really getting paid to do it. Just how many more types can we look forward to ??? I may have to build another hangar addition.CheersStefan

Now this is completely different from most Austers I have seen, off to get her now ... Cheers ! Mike :ernae:

Great - another spreader for the Ag collection - well done men! A couple of the real thing hard at work .....

How Many Austers Left to Build ?

Well, they came up with over 50 types although some of these were just fitted with different engines, meriting a new model number. All the types are listed in 'Austers-general-information.doc' which accompanies each of our models.
We've now modelled 23 distinct models but I can reveal that we're nearly at the end of the project. That's heavily dependant on just what information Martin can dig up.
Keen eyes will spot that the the rear window of ZX-BXO is larger than our model - that claustrophic compartment in the rear was for two helpers. There were three different windows tried over the builds, none of which probably did much to improve the view.
I love that saggy fabric on the aircraft - well used definitely !
Cheers
