Game may crash if the VFR Map is not opened right after starting the flight

Many on the official forum have confirmed this, as can I. If you plan on using it, open it as soon as you click Fly Now, then minimize it and tuck it into a corner. It seems like these updates are one step forward and two steps back, but I suppose in reality it's one forward and a half step back - progress, yes, but slow.

I heard of this happening before the previous update. I wonder what the correlation is? So far I have not had issue with this but will be on the lookout for it.

Wait, if you want to use it you have to leave it open? You can't close it and open it etc?

I do confirm the VFR map bug. Happened to me twice. The work-around seems to do the job. I even took the risk of turning it out during flight and reopen; worked fine!

I'm not sure it's a 100% event. The two times it happened to me I was in a graphic-intensive situation.

At least, they do recognize the situation.

I've had it happen once so far, this was after open and closing it several time during the flight.

Don't really need it for the G1000 equipped planes but its handy to have for the steam gauge ones so hopefully they fix it soon.

I think once it's opened early (or set to open at flight start-up), you can then open and close it at will. I've gotten into the habit of minimizing it and then tucking it away at the bottom.
