[FONT=verdana, sans-serif] File Description:
The Cessna 185, also known as the Skywagon, is a six-seat, single engined, general aviation light aircraft manufactured by Cessna. It first flew as a prototype in July 1960, with the first production model being completed in March 1961. The Cessna 185 is a high-winged aircraft with non-retractable conventional landing gear and a tailwheel. Over 4,400 were built with production ceasing in 1985. When Cessna re-introduced some of its most popular models in the 1990s, the tailwheel equipped Cessna 180 and 185 were left to the history books and not resurrected.

I saw this there and was going to post the info. Although I saw JRL's name and assumed it for a CFS2 model (shrug)

Thanks Claudius

Does it have a VC?

EDIT: Figured it would be easy enough to download the pack and find out if it had a VC. It doesn't.

If I'm gonna fly it, it's gotta have a good VC. That said, the CARENADO rendition is an excellent value. If on a budget and ya like floats, amphibs, or tundra tires get the Bush package; I believe it's standalone.

Either way, if you're a 185 fan, Carenado won't disappoint. :ernae:

The Carenado C185 Bush version is standalone and has Ski, Float, Amphibian and Tundra models for US $18.95 ( Yes - I have this one and not Carenado's base version of the C185 - and its easier to fly than JRL's C185)

Isn't this a re-relase of JRLucariny's 185 ?

I had his one several years ago, looks the same.

As for a great 185 you can't go past the Carenado 185 and the Bush 185.

I have them both and the flight model is very realistic.

Pete.

I think youre right. I remember this one too (4 or 5 years ago).
The flight characteristics need a major overhaul.

If memory serves me, Peter Mercy has done a lot of great rehab work on older FS9 aircraft. I just bought both of the Carenado 185 packages but I'm going to download the new freeware one and try it out, too. GA Rules!
