New CFS 2 install issues

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 8.1 installed. So far I have installed CFS 1 and CFS 2, planning on FSX tonight.
I haven't tried CFS 1 yet.
I flew CFS 2 but encountered a couple of problems.
First, I noticed that the spinning illustrations of the planes didn't appear on the pages.
More importantly, when I tried to adjust trim with the Num 1 and 7 pads, the pads acted as view commands. I usually used the right side keyboard groupings for trim, but I tried the top line Num line and had the same result.
I'm going to try using SHIFT + Num Pads this evening and see if that works. I tried searching this site for CFS 2 trim problems but didn't find anything.
Appreciate any help or direction,

I appreciate the suggestion, but I can't find a Num Lock key on the new Windows 8.1 keyboard. The pad has Clear on it above the 7 key where Num Lock is on the old Vista equipped PC keyboard.
Also having difficulty after a brief search this afternoon in finding the Airplanes folder so I can replace the stock panel with my preferred Hellcat panel.

Hi jbtate,

Just out of curiosity, what kind of keyboard do you have?
Is it a dell system?

Thanks, Dave

The keyboard for my new Dell desktop is a Dell KB113 Wired Keyboard. Thinking about moving the keyboard from my old system over to see if the trim pad difference is the keyboard or the version of Windows.

That's sounded very familiar. It's why I asked.
Where I work they purchased several new computers from Dell. They all had the same "moving around" of the key functions. It made everyone nuts. The workstation's users that had these were scrambling around looking for any old usb keyboards. Many of us have been using the number keypads for years and being creatures of habit, hated this new idea. I did. :censored:

If you have an old one lying around, plug her back in. Windows will load the drivers for it and it'll be back to how most of us preferred it. :encouragement:

Until Later,
Dave
