I just downloaded and listened to the files. I must say, these sounds are the best I've heard in a long time and are quite accurate for a C-series R-2800.

If you can spare 10 minutes you can enjoy a real Convair (C-131) starting up and idling.

I think I'm in love. These sounds are Great!
I put them in my favorite twin-prop airliner the Martin 404 and WOW!

Howard 500, F7F Tigercat, A-26 Invader, all R-2800's.

Even some more waiting:

Fairchild C-123 Provider
Grumman F6F Hellcat
Lockheed PV-1 Ventura
Curtiss C-46 Commando
P-61 Black Widow
Canadair CL-215
Douglas DC-6 / C-118 Liftmaster

To be continued...

Nice! Amazing set of sounds! took it for a spin last night and Wow.. I will alias this to the Canadair CL-215 too.:salute: Many thanks to the authors.

Really great sounds. The only improvements I could imagine would be to make the pitch of the sound the same inside and outside the cockpit (it does sound a bit odd going from cockpit to spot view), and adding a bit of bass to the sounds - they are a little "thin".

Nice job,

Tom

The Sound Pack has been Updated. As before, it's over at AVSIM.
Better Blending and a little more bass.

Version 2 of my Convairliner sounds. These are the classic sound of the Pratt & Whitney R-2800s. Designed to be used with the piston engined Convair models by Tom Gibson and Greg Pepper, and the updated "Virtual Birds Factory" version. This version has corrected some minor issues that were in my previous set.

Thanks for the HU!
These sounds indeed are awesome!

I had the WoP P-47 sounds with a "twin tweak" in use before, but now all my R-2800 fitted twins get their roar from this one. I think I'll have to double the fun to get my DC-6s sound like this...

Tried both versions on two aircraft and went back and forth a couple times. Seems to me version one is better. To each his own I guess.

I just found this topic from a search for the B26. Downloading these sounds now.
...Can't wait to test them out!
