Being a DH twin-boom fan, I had to get this. Absolutely first class. Textures are as crisp and detailed as the Suprunov Vampire's by way of comparison. Details in animations, model quality, and overall accuracy are of payware quality. The wheels, tires, and associated struts are lovely to behold. Pilot and ejection seat are stellar.

I found the exterior textures took a bit of time to load when I'd switch views, which was a bit annoying (5 or so seconds each time) - but I suspect that's due to my PC's "advanced years". Users with newer PCs likely won't have this. Regardless of the texture load time, the FPS was FANTASTIC - Maxed out at 30fps over the BCATP Trenton air base, one of the more FPS-heavy aerodromes in my install.

I can't recall when there was a non-naval Venom in FS (FS2002?) - so this model fills a very long void most admirably. Much as I love the RCAF Vampire - in the end motivating me to pay for the Suprunov Vampire in order to get the best Vampire I could (and still without a VC, alas), I will likely not be flying it very much at all, now with this flawless little gem in the stable.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Rob - you've delivered first rate FSX models, and I'm so grateful to you guys for this lovely gift.

Sorry DL, this is not a Simshed model, it's all Rob's baby. We're just hosting it for him and pleased to do so.

Merci beaucoup Rob ... :icon29:

I'm not usually keen about planes without props and the only way for me to enjoy a jet pipe or blow torch is if I can make my first flight and bring everything back in one piece...

This one I'll keep ... :applause:

Cheers,

Thanks Rob , another beauty course the on hire aircraft from the RAF to the RNZAF would be a breeze to do :salute:

Nice Screens Andy , super easy just jump in and fly , it would have been interesting to see a Jet to Jet dogfight .. Vampire/Venom class against its rivals

Only found out about this one last night and been itching to get my hands on it since. Built a 1:48th plastic model of an FB.4 with my dad when I was a kid, kinda brings back memories :guinness:
