Two maybe tree years ago a member here uploaded dp files where they had been adapted in the effects section to show more probable fx's in relation to what part the aircraft was taking damage?
I remember the D/L stating that these resemble effects shown in IL2 1946.

Ring a bell with anyone?

I'm sure I had it but can't find it. CRS

Thanks In Advance,
Dave

David, Well, perhaps another member will read this and attach the file. If so, I'll put it in the library when I get home. Away from my desk at the moment...

Yeah, sure, that's fine Rami. If not, I'll make do...

Thanks for trying!

I knew BC would have it :sheep:

I like the effects in this pack very much, but you need to make sure the aircraft dps make use of them too... :gameoff:

Thanks for that one BC!

@ UncleTgt, That is so true. If the aircraft's dp file does not have any fx called for of course you will not see them.

Good idea to bring that topic up Uncle.

Hi Dave,
thanks for uploading the new engine fire, i've question about using this engine fire but this time from fsx or captain sim that it's using f18 engine fire fx
i've try to use it on my cfs2 but still failed to see the result that the only i can use it airexpld fx only but when the plane goes down it doesn't show the fire effect.
well i did put the engine fire effects on aircraft config only, is the effect should go to aircraft dp as well? can i just copy the effect into engfire.s, m and l which mean to replace them with new f18 fire effect?
as seen on this video at 2:54

Nothing goes in the aircraft cfg Wiek. Navigate to any aircraft folder and open it. Inside the folder you should see a file called *.dp. Open it with notepad. Then there will be texts where the fx is called per structure of the plane. See my post above. It will look like that. There's a small example in the readme of this zip. When any edits are made, always save then delete the *.cdp file. When the aircraft loads in the sim a new one will be written. Clear as mud, right? Doit several times and you will get to understand what is going on.
