FS2004/FSX Blackburn Baffin two seat Fleet Air Arm carrier-borne torpedo-bomber. Between the first and second World Wars it was realized that a lone aircraft, carrying a torpedo, could sink a battleship of 30,000 tons with a compliment of 2000 men. The Baffin, designed by Major F.A. Bumpus (seriously!) was a valiant attempt to create such a fighting machine. Just enjoy wind in the wires! Aircraft and all by Frank Elton.

Ok I get it... the crew on a battleship of 2000 men! Now that's impressive.
 
Does anyone else loose the prop when cutting engine?
Also unable to restart.
Increased prop thrust_scaler to 1.4 to give a bit more performance.

EDIT, it's just a cfg for the default Wildcat sounds from CFS2, sorry.
 
One good idea on project like these would be to establish a relationship with a museum or private owner/s that have the same, or similar operational engines. Then you could ask them if they were willing to record a soundset for you with the promise to promote their organisation etc in return. I think this is a great way to capture the, if not as close as possible sound of the real thing while giving something back to real world aviation too.

Nice looking model regardless, interwar naval aviation is a very interesting, if overlooked subject in FS. Nice shout out to the Alpha Sim Hampden; always loved that plane.

That is exactly what was done with the Austers from Dave Molyneaux and Brian Horsey (and myself). For all the current airworthy examples, we used the original manuals, took lots and lots of photos (100s in some instances) and used the experience,knowledge and guidance from those who had or still do fly them, to create almost life like (within the confines of the simulator program) virtually accurate models. People may think 'its another Auster', but they are all different in the way that they handle and therefore bring to your computer screens something a lot more realistic than what is represented in other models.

As to the sounds, we have at times recorded straight from the source - the AOP9 for example is the very aeroplane itself as I recorded all the necessary during last year's flying season. Although not an Auster, the up and coming Luton Minor will have sounds from the real thing too.
