I guess for those without REX 2.0, those would be good. I have REX, so for me they would be redundant.

I did install this set and it looks pretty good. Probably not as good as some payware, but better than default. I did not see a discernible decrease in frame rates on my computer.
 
Ah what the heck, I'll go for it.

Would help a lot of the author had included at least two or three preview shots. *Grr*

The first shots were still in beta though, but they'll give you an initial impression.
The various feedbacks I've seen so far seem to be rather positive. Of course it's not as good or complete as a payware package, but it's a nice change for those who had only default stuff.

I believe most of those textures will go into the FSX\texture folder. A safe step is to create a little archive of this folder (zip or rar) in order to be able to revert back to the original textures in case of problems/dislikes.
Same goes to FSX\scenery\world\texture.
 
I downloaded and tried it, i think it is a good option, rather than the default and is free. :ernae:
the sky is much more real and stunning!!! :applause:

I have no loss of frames also.

I also use other runway textures rather than those who come in the pack, they are too dark for me, but depends on the taste of each... also available at flightsim.com:
