FS2004 Junkers Ju-160. The Junkers Ju 160 was a German single-engined, low-wing six-seat passenger transport aircraft developed from the Junkers Ju 60 and targeted at the same fast airliner market as the Heinkel He 70 and the Lockheed Orion. This package includes a Junkers Ju-160 in different variants: Ju-160A0 with VC (no navaids, no com radio), Ju-160A0 without VC, Ju-160DO with VC, Ju-160D0 military with VC (radios, revisted markings) and Ju-160D0 military without VC. 2D-panel and effects not included. By Ralf Kreibich.

Cheers! Mike :wavey:

Huh.
Wasn't there a rule that a tail-dragger's center of gravity has to be behind the main gear? Wonder how Hugo managed it with this one...
Maybe some lead clunks placed in the tailcone? :icon_lol:

She's a beauty! It's very sad to read that this is Ralf's final flightsim aircraft. :frown: Ralf has included the gMax source files for anyone who would like to complete the project.

Downloading it now. I hope to have some performance numbers to get it authorized for the race..

Female flight crew! No "glass ceilings" at the Junkers factory! :icon_lol:
Well, except for the canopy.

It is a shame Ralf's calling it quits.
Visually the model is pretty darn nice as is and if someone picks it up they shouldn't feel it necessary to do a lot of work.
(Interesting that the gauges are modeled right into the panel and a nice opening cowl with detailed engine)

The .air and .cfg files need some twisting and tweaking to make it truly accurate, although it flies quite nicely. Speeds are close to the limited historical data.

Fuel consumption and maybe actual tankage don't produce the historical range numbers (now WHO ever flies 'by the book' or worries about fuel planning in FS???). It also appears to have a "bounce and hop" issue when loading, starting or switching views so a look at the contact points may be in order.

Observations, not criticizms ... and certainly just a matter of further flight test and development (just like the original Ju-60/Ju-160 had to go through).

For Golden Age flying it's a keeper in my book.

Rob

Brian,

Where did you read this?

:kilroy:

Cees

In the 'readme' file. Here's what it says...

The model, especially the A0-type, is unfinished, nevertheless I decided to share my work. I stopped all my works for the MSFS a few months ago and so I will never make any update.
