Lets Keep our fingers crossed that they will do this one for us in FS9 also....start emailing folks......let them know we want this.

I agree 100%....and just as an FYI there is a dedicated Carenado forum open over at avsim...I think Fernando frequents it quite a bit; We should get him to come over here for a visit :applause:

I flew a C-180 for a few years. I went into a partnership with a friend of mine and his dad and we purchased one, used of course. Over the course of 5 years we completely re-worked the plane. Full restoration, new paint, Bendix King coms and navs. We replaced the 180 HP Continental engine with a 220 HP Textron Lycoming, and tundra tires. You could put 6 people and all their gear into that plane, and there wasn't anywhere you couldn't go. (well almost).

I will definately procure the C-185 if Carenado makes one available for FS9. I am curious to see just how close it is to the real deal C-180.

It has been confirmed that the 185 will be an FS2004 aircraft also and I also asked about a wheel pants version and they are doing it also.

Hey All,

I've said before I'll buy a 185 and a 185 on amphibs in a heartbeat. It has always absolutely astounded me that THE iconic American bushplane has never been thoroughly done for FS9.

I wish I could upload it but I have a short slip of a video I did at a local airport on a 185 and I'm not sure what the pilot did but this plane was LOAD....the prop pitch or something I'm not sure but the pilot actually got yelled at by the FBO for doing a wave off and blasting the locals......I loved it! :applause:

Absolutely agree!
My hopes are for a tundra tire equipped 185 and the amphib. No tundra tires....probably no purchase.

C'mon dogknot.....It's FS9...Carenado...and its a 185!! It's still a phenomenal thing even without the tundra tires..:ernae: (but it WOULD be very cool!)

I think if they keep doing wuth they have been doing.....we may see the float and tundra versions just like they did for their new 172.

My only! complaint is the paint kits could really be more painter freindly. I would love for seperate panel lines layers.

Man O Man! Keep 'Em coming Carenado!
We'll keep buying 'em.
Their always some of the best out there.
I've got 6 so far.

I really hope they model the tailwheel accurately; free castoring tailwheel is a must for me on any taildragger. I always set it to 180 in the .cfg, and hopefully it swivels realistically. I hope I hope I hope I hope! :d :d :bump:

Paintkits aren't a problem for me as I use the blank textures and make photoshop layered files (separate paint layer). I did one for their Cessna 210 and Mooney. Fernando stated on the Carenado forum that the Cessna 210 is planned as a turbo model in the future product line up:ernae:
