and what a great site is this. dumps up.:applause:
I'm a big fan of cfs 3
now i have upload the b-17 flying fortress works great!!.
but if i want it to play it in the missions. the game just frees.
in the mission mode. what I'm doing wrong.
 
usually a weapon or a pylon called up by the aircraft model is missing......

it may help to install the latest version of the AvHistory weapons pack, which can be downloaded from their website....
 
bad rooster this is the best forum on the net,im sure u will find that most people are nice and will help if they can,dont be afraid to ask any question about the game,there is always someone that can figure most problems that arise
 
oke i download the plane works great in free flight.but in the missions it don't work.
now i look at the pylons folder it did not show up in this folder. may this be the problem.
can i copy same files from the aircraft and paste it to the pylons folder.
all the other aircraft's in this folder has pdb m3d and xdb files.
 
the pylons folder does not show the installed aircraft models, they are listed in the aircraft folder

missions use only those models, which are defined in the mission xml file. If a specific model is not listed there it will not turn up in the mission...

so you must pick another mission or modify the mission xml file eg replace a model there with the one you want to use......
 
no, its easy (even I can do that :kilroy:)....

first you must find the right mission xml file in the missions subfolder of the game

and then open it with the WINDOWS editor or some other programme (I prefer XMLspy, free from the net)

the ac used for the missions are listed showing their m3d-file names (spelling must be exactly CORRECT)

you can simply replace the names you find with some others and you will get the other modells in the mission

by the way the name marked with player aircraft is the one you are flying with in the mission (which can also be changed, I think...)

there are definately some very good add ons to be found here
these guys that make these planes are awsome artists.
Most any one here can help with about any questions about the game and how to manipulate it.

i have 315 planes in my modded cfs3 pretty cool to have so many planes to choose from
 
hey Rooster if you ever have questions about add on plane installs let me know those 315 planes have been modified by me to include bigger guns and other weapon loadouts.
Deer Hunter and i have the same set of planes and they are all compatible in multi-player
