New Nvidia 344.65!

Hello my friends! I recommend to the nvidia users to try as soon as possible the new nvidia driver 344.65. It did wonders for me in here in P3D. First, it cured ALL the .fx erros that i was having (Mostly using SLI). Now contrails, strobes, lights beans, etc ... all functioning perfectly even with sli enabled.

Try the driver and put your thoughts over here :encouragement:

For me yes. I use SLI in here and the effects (.fx) were a mess with it activated. Now this situation is gone completely. No more artifacts, no more weird contrails, strobes doing what they supposed to do. This happened migrating today from 344.60 to .65. I noticed a more smooth simulation too, but it may be not so, because i was very excited with my effects fix!!! Give it a try. You can allways go back if you don´t like.

I don't keep up with the driver updates because I rarely see any difference. I only run one sim now (P34D_V2.4) and since I had not upgraded for some time I went ahead and installed this one. There may very well be some improvements, but they would be so subtle as to be undetectable.

I don't like upgrading the gpu drivers, because it messes up the screen settings for fsx, and the lay out of icons across my 3 monitors.

And I have not seen any improvements for fsx when I did upgrade,

I did upgrade last week from an old version to the 344.60, without uninstalling the previous version, and it didn't mess anything.
And yes, I could see some improvements in P3D performances, especially due to the fact that I can now use the famous DSR option (despite having an old GTX480).

I will update my drivers to this new version of course. Thanks for the info.

Did you say that P3D v2.4 now works with SLI?! that is great news! :jump: I've always wanted to try out this sim but was put off by the lack of support for SLI!

Thanks so much for the HU!!

Hello guys, let me try to explain it a little better. What i saw was the fix for some many errors . Errors like this in prior driver versions:
http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/topic/prepar3d-2-4-sli-error-lights-and-smoke-effects/

Here are some examples, all with SLI turned on with the new driver. These situations were all broken with sli on, until 344.60:

Contrails working

3DLight Redux working:

HDR and sharp nights:

And a little video to show the effects running in sli: (Don´t pay atention to the airbus panel. It is only to show the effects working)

It may be not so easy to everybody to see this improviment, but it is there.
@Dumonceau: There is still no "prepar3d.exe" profile for sli mode in nvidia drivers, but some colateral effects has gone now, like the ones above. So, something has changed. :encouragement:

Thanks so much for the clarification Flaviossa! I have been wanting to try out this sim for a very long time! I even installed version 2 last year and the sim was simply unflyable.

But now, seeing your shots I've got my hopes up high again! I will definitely try it out now!

You've made someone very happy! Thanks again!
