A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - British

Description: Iceberg FAA Avenger skinpack UT.

This is a set of repaints for Allens FAA Avenger MkII for CFS 2.

These aircraft all served with the British Pacific Fleet during APR-AUG '45.

N-371 JZ547 828 sqn FAA APR '45 HMS Implacable
Lost on take-off from HMS Implacable at Truk, 14 JUN 45. Crew rescued by HMS Terpsichore.
X-378 JZ114 848 sqn FAA MAY '45 HMS Formidable
P-377 JZ678 849 sqn FAA MAY '45 HMS Victorious
Q-370 FN863 854 sqn FAA APR '45 HMS Illustrious
Struck by enemy flak and crashed into sea in flames while diving on target at Sakishima Gunto Mar 26, 1945. All 3 crew KIA.
W-382 JZ535 857 sqn FAA APR '45 HMS Indomitable
N-372 JZ682 828 sqn FAA JUL '45 HMS Implacable

Also included, a WIN 7 safe 2D panel & a modified dp with kelti exhaust effects & new loadouts.

Weapons used: DBolts U.S. weapons, Bismark13s Beaufighter bombs, Baldy's aerial mine & 1600lb AP bomb from his Barracuda Mk2, Shessis 250lb depth charge.

Options to use Gary20s ASV radar aerials (too big for ASB radar, but the nearest we have so far), & a MkIII Avenger loadout that calls for AF Scrubs radar pod from his Firefly NF1 (http://www.thefreeflightsite.com/FIREFLY NF Mk1.zip)

To install, unzip the download and place your chosen files in the matching folders for Allen's Avenger MkII model within the aircraft folder in your CFS2 Main Directory.

Thanks to: Allen for revising the OH TBF to represent the model used by FAA squadrons. The B24 Guy for his original work de-mirroring the MS Stock TBF.

Description: ETO FAA Avenger skinpack UT


This is a set of repaints for Allens FAA Avenger MkII for CFS 2.


These aircraft all opperated in the ETO.


"2B", FN849 of 846 sqn FAA, operating aboard HMS Trumpter during AUG44


JZ554 of 854 sqn FAA operating from Hawkinge during June & July 44 in support of the D-Day landings.


Leading Airman Fred Shirmer was the TAG in Avenger Mk.II, JZ554 of 854 NAS, being flown by Sub Lt. Davies from RAF Hawkinge on the 9th July 1944 and the crew were flying home from their patrol over the Channel when a V-1 overtook them at high speed......so they became alert for any more which might follow and sure enough one did...which was duly dispatched by Fred at 700 yards distance using only 20 rounds of 0 .5 cal ammo from his single turret gun! He received a mention in dispatches for this fantastic shooting.

Description: Palembang FAA Avenger skinpack UT

This is a set of repaints for Allens FAA Avenger MkII for CFS 2.

These aircraft all took part in Operation Meridian, the raids against the Palembang Oil Refineries in January 1945.

"1H" JZ379 820 sqn FAA, JAN 45: Hit by flak over Palembang during Meridian 1 24th JAN '45, the a/c ditched on the way back to the Fleet. CPO HGC Mitchell, S/L A Hemington, L/A CL Harris all KIA.

"P1G" JZ336 849 sqn FAA, JAN 45: This a/c saved from Jap fighters by "Q4P" over the target during Meridian 2, 29th JAN '45, the a/c ditched on reaching the Fleet. The crew were rescued by HMS Whelp, but the Observer subsequently died from his wounds.

"Q4P" JZ186 854 sqn FAA, JAN 45: Lt GJ Connolly shot down a ki-44 Tojo with his front guns as it was attacking "P1G". The observer Lt RE Jess had earlier jettisoned the fuselage door to take extremely clear & detailed photographs of target damage using a hand-held camera!

"Q4H" FN854 854 sqn FAA, JAN 45: On 14th AUG '44 Lt Voak achieved the seemingly impossible by shooting down a V-1 flying bomb using the Avengers front guns. This represents how his a/c appeared during the period of the Palembang raids.


"W1P" JZ558 857 sqn FAA, JAN 45: Shot down by a Jap fighter over Pladjoe Refinery complex during Merdian 1 24th JAN '45. S/L REA Hibburd, S/L J Mason and P/O DH Duncan all KIA

Also included, a WIN 7 safe 2D panel & a modified dp with kelti exhaust effects & new loadouts.
