Just uploaded a Combo. . .Fisher Islands Elizabeth Airport and Race Rock Lighthouse. There is an AFCAD with the Lighthouse that will accommodate 2 float planes if you are AI Traffic capable.

Hi Falcon
Thanks for the new scenery and working so hard to help me with Montauk. I doubt that you are big on requests but it being the "Holiday Season" if you felt like tackling another seaplane base might I ask for Helms Aero Service at Long Lake in the Adirondacks. Nothing available works in Prepar3D and it seems a great little challenging remote spot to fly into. I'm not sure the area is even correctly depicted in Prepar3D. Thanks in advance for even reading this.
All the best!

It looks doable. I've downloaded a good swath of ground texture for the area, a bit of color correction and getting the water to show correctly and it should be ready to place scenery objects. That may begin this weekend.

Well now that's just wonderful! Ed, I can't thank you enough for doing this one. I have a new 1440k screen for Christmas and have been marveling at how professional and Orbx-like (that's meant as a compliment) your Montauk scenery came out. Really looking forward to trying this latest one (and your future ones) out!

A few IRL shots of Fishers and The Race.

Thanks for these.

I picked up some Alabeo and Carenado taildraggers on sale before Christmas
and have been enjoying flying them out of some of your smaller GA sceneries.
A perfect "pairing".

Uncanny detail on this. Right down to the gaps in the split rail fence where this summer I walked my bike through to chat with a pair of very bored PC-12 pilots waiting for their PAX.

The F-27 parked there is not at all fictional. One of the summer residents, John Hay Whitney, owned this one privately in the 60's and 70's in this livery in the screenie. When I was a kid spending summers there and my Dad and I heard those Darts whine when it buzzed our house, it was always a game to race down to the airport in time to see her land. Amazing something so large could get in and out of a 2600' runway. The pilots invited me to have a look inside once and it was furnished very VIP with lots of space as you might expect. The owner had been the US ambassador to Great Britain and had also used it (with pit stops) to cross the Atlantic as well as to his horse ranches in Georgia and Kentucky. His other choice of plane had been a Gulfstream 1, but he bought the Fairchild and that is another story for another time.

It appears that Orbx is overriding the scenery. I see buildings that shouldn't be there (although the people flow humans look cool). If you haven't already, try moving this scenery to the top most spot in the Scenery Library. It's also possible that as part of the "Freeware Airports" Installation that Orbx automatically installs periodically, they have included this airport. You would have to go to that folder in your Orbx installation folder, find the ICAO code (0B8) and delete all references with that code.

Nice screens though and I enjoy your background stories of the area. You show the UK as your home, but do you now still live here in the States?

That's probably the culprit and will investigate. We live mostly in England but I/we get back to the USA very frequently and my extended family - on both sides - gathers on Fishers every August.

Thanks yup that sorted it.
Apart from personal experience I find landing here in FSX in increasingly heavier metal tests your landing skills almost like carrier ops.
