New Screens of Alphasim C-17 Globemaster up

I finally saw one of these coming in for a landing at Hickam...they've been here about 3 years now but you don't see them all that often. HUGE bird...

I saw one of those bad boys doing touch-n-goes at Kaneohe a couple years back. Quite a sight to see all that steel making the circuit repeatedly. I'll bet that pilot was exhausted when it was all done.

Let me tell you, from PERSONAL experience, those things fly like a buss in sand. I had the pleasure of going to March AFB in So-Cal and fly there military C-17 simulator. The sim was 3 story's tall and supported by hydrolics and servo's. Full cockpit, and full wrap-around vision, and FULL MOTION! Was LOTS of fun to "John Wayne" it off the runway (almost vertical climb after takeoff roll). I sorta forgot I had passangers in the cabin, and they hung onto my seat for DEAR LIFE! Lol. I will tell you, I was able to set her down myself safely. Blew a few tires, but I got her down. Military toys are SO FRIGGEN FUN!!!

Saw one at the air show at Tinker AFB not too long ago. They demo'ed a short field landing, then drove it backwards down the runway to take off again. The beast going foreward is impressive enough. The load master was hanging out of the aft passenger door to be the rear view mirror.

Wow Gib!! Now that sounds like my idea of a way to spend an afternoon in So-Cal,I bet it was a lot of fun!!! very Cool!!

This AS bird I'm definitely going to purchase :running:(as long as it comes with a good paint kit, but then again, AS always provides one :bump:).

Am I crazy? I don't see any new pics. Where should I be looking on the page? Thanks.
