New Swordfish in town

With Scrub's permission i have just uploaded two Swordfishes created from his FSX model. Nice to have some alternatives to the existing Swords.. If someone has some suggested improvements, please post.

Thanks Morton!

She ought to be a treat.

Seems like Lawdog or one of the other sound masters uploaded a Bristol Pegasus engine sound file to the library here sometime back.

If you download the Hampden, she used Pegasus radials, then all you'd need is to make a single.cfg for her.

How are her frame rates? Could I replace the Ground Crew's model with this one in missions and put a bunch of 'em in the air?

Erufle,

Probably not...I don't think A.F. Scrub's models are multi-lod. The two best Swordfish models are Piloto Azul's and especially the Alphasim model.

The same experience here Oldwheat. I really dont think multilod always is the only magic. I have discarded models which are too complex for high FR in CFS2 campaigns, multilod or not. Large formations are nice to have, but I want to have good FR in close ups too. The trick is to not get carried away with polygons when making CFS2 models. Scrub's models are just that.

The new Albacore

The new Albacore is a very good biplane model (lesseur pl 101) but you can´t see the bombs.:monkies:

I know I must have missed something obvious, so be kind. But my Swordfish model folders didn't have the "Model CFG". Just the MDL File.:confused:

Sorry guys. Sometimes it just happens :isadizzy:.

The MODEL.CFG file was missing, but it's only a textfile with these lines:
[models]
normal=Swordfish

The swordfish.mdl file is correct though.

DVSlats, just for the record. What's the difference in your aircraft.cfg?

Since it seems this Swordfish is a capable CFS2 model, I maybe will do one or two more paints.

Hi Morton,
I just deleted the entry after model= And renamed the Model.wheel folder to just Model.

[fltsim.0]
title=Swordfish Atlantic 836Sqn
sim=Swordfish
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
kb_checklists=Swordfish_check

Great Stringbag. Many thanks Morton. I'm getting high frame rates and the AI are happy to land where they should.:applause::applause:
