New to FS2020 - have some questions.

(have Thrust Master A320 joystick, all calibration controls are fine)
Some planes like C152 and Zlin cub return rudder to neutral when twist grip still held in position. C172 doesn't have problem. This a bug waiting for a fix or am I missing something?
Is there a way to make hat switch pan around smoothly, cockpit and external views, like FSX?
Is there a way to get wind direction and speed on the screen?
I'm sure I'll have more questions as I go through the learning curve.

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Paul, Welcome to MSFS. Since I use a VR headset and rudder pedals, I can't answer most of your questions. I might be able to answer the wind direction question, however.

MSFS, if I remember correctly does still use the SHIFT Z for airspeed, altitude, FPS and winds. I don't use it, so I can be positive. Also, if you are using one of the G1000 or G3000 equipped aircraft, like the C-172, there is a way to have the wind speed and direction showing on the Primary Flight Display (PFD).

It requires several button pushes on the Softkeys along the bottom of the display, so I am going to punt and suggest a YouTube video on the G1000. There are several out there.

I hope this helps.

Haven't seen this issue...

"Is there a way to make hat switch pan around smoothly, cockpit and external views, like FSX?"
You can, but you lose the functionality of things such as Instrument Views. I suggest the mouse when you want to look around. By default, right click and drag will point the camera anywhere you want.

If you're in a plane with the G1000 (or preferably, the free G1000NXi addon from the Marketplace), look in the PFD settings and you'll find a crosswind indicator. Another option is the "Shift-Z" addon from the flightsim.to site.
