New Upgrade 1.8 available!

The 2 minor problems that have been reported is the Tigermoth and Swordfish won't load but that will be fixed.
 
I just install it and it has given IL46 a great Uplift. I highly recommend it. It has made a great Sim even greater. It has plenty of new Maps and planes and other Mod.

I already had the maps except for a couple.More ships is nice but they are only repaints of the stock ships.I also didn't see the Cougar in it,it's really a nice plane for Korea missions.

It still has a Mig 15 and a F80 a plus a F86 which we never though we where ever going to get in IL46!

Download it and install yourself and make your own opinion!

Just do not get reed of a Patch Original IL46 install as a backup just in case!
 
The F-86 is a pleasure to fly,much better than first ones they came out with.

There's also F-84 Thunderjets and F9F Panther.

We use all these planes plus the Cougar in our online missions.

Hello all. I just installed this mod, and I cannot get the game to load past sixty percent, at which point it kicks me out.. I went to the troubleshooting forum at UP, and followed all the leads I could find, including changing my sound settings and installing some dll files that should have fixed it, but so far no soap... Anyone else been thru this problem?

Update: I got it fixed by adding the mods one at a time from the menu. I think Vista choked when I added them all at once earlier...
 
Your game should only have the 4.08 & 4.09 patches in it I believe.I made the mistake of having also 1.1 installed in my 4.09 install and it did the same thing as your getting.When I did with just the 4.08 & 4.09 patches it worked fine.

Just to clarify something - is this 1.8 upgrade different to the AAA upgrade, or are we talking about the same mod?

There are now three different mods packs available.

AAA Ultimate Installer v 2.0

HSFX 4.1

Ultra Pack 1.8

But... it seems like all of them will eventually be outmoded by a single, combined pack. The goal is to have a single modded version of Il2:1946.

There is more to the ship packs then just repainted stock models, check out this one I found at anchor near Norway Talon!:jump: Looks like the Tirpitz to me,lol

The Tirpitz was in the game from the beginning.Online we've been doing missions to sink her for over 2 years now.One tough ship.

My install of 1.8 on my laptop locks up: I can't exit the video by hitting esc and when the game finishes loading my cursor (mouse) is frozen mid screen. I have to use the task manager to exit the game. Anyone else using Windows 7 OS having the same problem? The 408 and 409 patches run fine.
