well finally received OFF today and 1st impressions are that it looks great. theres a few teething problems such as wonky wingman AI but im sure that will be improved upon.

does anyone have any settings for the nvidia control panel that they find helps with fps?

and about the workshop,

the settings for regional air density and flight density. what settings are for historical numbers of planes?

ps

would also be great if all the tips that have been posted in regards to tweaking settings to increase fps could made into a sticky. whats the chances?

Tonedog leave the regional air activity and flight density at default if you are asking for MORE fps ;). The air war automatically increases historically as it goes through the war. The campaign is very dynamic. Flight density affects numbers of craft in your flight.

regional activity means more flights in the air if you move from low (not recommended unless you have higher end PC).

so basically leavin regional air and flight density at their default settings of low and normal are the historical settings? what settings are the rest of u guys usin and how are you finding it?

im just gonna bump up my nvidia/nhancer question as well. would be interested to hear from anyone who have made changes and have seen fps inprovement. ive tryed usin my settings for bob2 but havent seen much difference.

I started off with a default NVidia CP setting, apart from x4 FSAA, and had excellent image quality and FPS. I then tried the tweaks suggested here and they slaughtered both image quality and FPS. I'm back to where I started and it's all good again. I'll post my settings here shortly.

Anisotropic Filtering: Off
Antialiasing Gamma Correction: Off
Antialiasing Mode: Overide any application setting
Antialiasing Setting: x4
Antialiasing Transparency: Off
Conformant Texture Clamp: Use hardware
Error Reporting: Off
Extension Limit: Off
Force Mipmaps: None
Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames: 0
Multi Display/Mixed GPU Acceleration: Single display performance mode
Texture Filtering Anisotropic Sample Optimization: Off
Texture Filtering Negative LOD Bias: Allow
Texture Filtering: Quality
Texture Filtering Trilinear Optimisation: On
Threaded Optimisation: Off
Triple Buffering: Off
Texture Filtering Anisotropic Mip Filter Optimisation: On
Vertical Sync: Force off

There's little expert judgement in there, I just seem to have struck it right with a bit of intuition and a lot of luck. I'm getting high frames and stunning image quality.
