Hello,
I am repainting an ND-52 in French Aeronavale colors.
Still only the port fuselage side done (you can still see the Spanish Civil War wings etc), but I will finish it in the end.
I do not know what bug stung me but I am doing repaints of French a/c of the 30's, and have a couple more types lined up for the future,--the Dewoitine 510 is an example for future work and a Morane Saulnier 225 parasol type.... Come to think of it, I think I know why: Long ago I had made plastic kits of these planes with same or similar markings
For now, the ND-52, of the attached image.
The unit is Escadrille 3C1 Le Requin. Le Requin means "shark".
I also note that some jets also sported this shark insignia, a Mystere IV and a recent Jaguar jet among them. This latter was a Jaguar A celebrating the 50000 hours of flight on this type flown by the wing named EC 3/7 Languedoc at Saint Dizier on the 29/03/1989 (the wing consists of the two escadrilles 3C1 Le Requin and SPA 38 Le Chardon de Lorraine).
The third image shows the Jaguar.
Nick
