Note: Taco had made it to VHHX but deleted his Duenna attachments when he dropped out.

Thanks for the great update!! :salute:

For the next one do you think you could include the bonus time as well? It would change the order a bit since not everyone has the same amount of bonus time upon reaching HK.

Vicious

thanks for the list Moses.

I have definitely, got to get that hole
in the starboard wing tank fixed.
it looks like I am well on the way
to the Friends of OPEC Award.

nice job there John,
you're a real speed demon.

Second is wide open, guys.
remember, I blew by RJTY
and had to double back from RJCJ.

then, I decided to take a low level tour of the Aleutians.
the photos are still being processed.

then, there was the PAED/sim crash issue.
all had to be time killers.

oh yeah, I forgot about the party for Paul
at Whidbey NAS, KNUW.
we had so much fun,
we are still there!
not to mention, the wind storm Monday caused enough damage,
I will be grounded until Friday, waiting for parts.

heck, if I had known that the time was that close,
maybe I would have not dinked around so much.
probably not. I would have missed all the fun!
I wouldn't change a thing, except the sim crash issue
and that has been resolved.

I had to look Moses, as I really didn't think the big Boeing could be in the same minute with the "Scooter"; so my math shows smilo 7:13:24
Typo maybe? :d
A good fast run nonetheless smilo.

>>whispers to self; and I stopped at 4 more bonus airports before Hong Kong<<

ssshhhhh.... ;)

actually, I think that was straight time...no bonuses, yet.
honestly, I didn't do the math.
I guess I should, but I am more interested in just getting it done.
the navigation is a challenge, and I've got to say,
the no GPS Rule is a blessing in disguise.
it has forced me to learn the ropes
and made me go back to Coordinates and using a map.
something I haven't done for a long time.
then to top it off, showing second for the first couple legs
was a real shocker for me.

thanks again to the coordinators for setting up this great race.
fun stuff.

btw, the Strat has been cruising at .92 mach,
maybe .93, but that's real close to overspeed.

Bonus time

Yep, the times on the latest update are without bonus applied. I think you have 2 hours of bonus time at Hong Kong, while JC, DD and myself have 4. Not sure about the others on the list. Still a great run though. :jump:

Vicious

Correction: Looking at my spreadsheet DD actually has 3.5 hours at HK. He didn't land in North Vietnam like JC and I did.

No worries. PRB has a spreadsheet on the way with all the updated and corrected info.

Ok, here's what I've cobbled together. There is a summary page, and a separate worksheet for each racer, so you can check my record keeping. I sort of hurried to get this done over the past two days, so there may be some mistakes. I will go over it carefully in the days to come, and of course when we complete the event. Not all the most recent flights have been added. I will update periodically. The green entries on the summary page means complete.

Things have quieted down in here. (Real life can get in the way all too easily!) Trying to get an idea of who will be able to finish the race.

Maybe a quick yea or nay to let us know so we can gauge interest at this point.

Thanks,

Moze

thanks Paul.
I guess I need to get off my duff
and check the numbers.
I've got folks coming over today
for a little under the eves cookout,
so it will be a day or two
before I can run the check.

thanks again for the work organizing this. :salute:

It looks like my aircraft is being impounded for inspection and I won't be able to complete the race after all. The authorities seem to think I have some electronic espionage equipment hidden onboard. My hats off to all of you for another great race. :salute:

sorry to hear that V.
any chance of making a run for it
in the dead of night?
I'd be happy to make a diversion for you
if it would help.
nothing like a low level pass in a B-47
to draw their attention.
just say when

We are going to wrap this up and post the final standings. Thanks to all who gave it a shot.:salute:
