no Disc CFS3 path

For starting MAW/PTO/Korea/ETO and OFF3 I always use the CFS3 disk. But is it possible to use any non disk hack for running the legal CFS3 disc.
Lesser use of the disc will means lesser damage caused by handling and these disc will become a rare item at the game shops.

As a heads up, discussions about CD cracks is not permitted on the forum and will bring down the wrath of site admin if spotted.

The official party line is that you do need a legal CFS3 disc to install OFF, though not necessaitly to run it after installation. It depends on the manufacturer of your CFS3 disc. If you search around the forum, I'm sure there are threads advising of which CD/DVD needs CS3 to run and those that only need it for initial install.

On the box a see the text "PC.CD Games" in a red ovaldot about 1" long, below the text "Microsoft game studios". On the seal wich I have broken to get the disc, is a barcode and the note: microsoft certificat of aut. and www.howtotell.com, allso a numeric code.

I'm not talking about the use of a illegal disc, but only how can I run the CFS3 games without using the CFS disc. It will become very difficult to get a legal CFS3 disc in the future and I love to play it.
Yep I'm only want to keep this disk clean.

Ok....the ONLY legal thing is to use, and to start CFS3 WITH the disk in the drive.
As long as there is a release of an .exe from Microsoft, or the respective copyrightowner, that allows you to run it without disk.

My copy of CFS3 is now 6 years old, and works like charm.

To the best of my knowledge, all formats that are still available for sale are 3.1. They can be purchased from Amazon.com and can still be found in some BM retail locations. Any of them will suffice for an install of OFF. If it's 3.1, DVD or CDROM, your install will be a breeze. In the absence of a crack, the disc will have to remain in the drive as OFF dutifully will go looking for it.
