No Xmas prezzie this year :(

I'll wager, the little woman is Glad for the Delay of Phase 3. Her husband will be Home for Christmas. :costumes:

Hey, Widowmaker
You don't seriously want to get shot to pieces in the peaceful fadeout of this year? Just enjoy being a P2 ace as long as you can - next year will get a lot harder for all of us, I'm sure (see: Pol's "Preview movie 10"). Perhaps you stick some holly on your wings, put a candle in the cockpit, and fly along the front singing "Silent night"... (Jeeze, must be the "Glühwein". Sorry, mate - I am also waiting for P3). Have a nice Christmas, and a happy new year (plus: P3)

Unfortunately out of our hands, we have been finished for weeks and were hoping it would be available now. Still all good things come to those who wait :)

Actually, in the Orthodox church, it won't be Christmas for another few weeks IIRC

Granted but for them it's more of a Religious Holiday, by then St. Nick's SPAD has circumnavigated the world :ernae:

I'm still getting shot to pieces as it is!!! I love the "out of date" Pfaltz but I hesitate to jump into a furball when Camel's are involved. Haven't had a good track record with them.....

Anyways, whenever it gets here, it gets here. Take comfort in knowing that it is actually going to happen, soon, and is not vaporware! No more hoping, just waiting. Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi, Militant_Danny
Camels? Bring me Camels!! Today I smoked three of them. They're so busy performing all their nice can-do's, that I sometimes think, that they serve themselves for dinner, on a silver tray. I was flying an Albatros D Va (good: 1.100 rounds - a hundred more than on a D III !), but the Pfalz is also a reliable plane. Don't try to climb after them; when they climb and turn at same time, just turn with them (and keep the nose at horizon line) - they always come down the other end, and there you plaster them! Don't play their game, and when one of them is a clear target, give it a burst. It can be done - you'll see!
Seeing, you're in Bagdad right now, I wish you quiet Xmas-days, as peaceful as any possible, and maybe with a good turkey, and some good drinks with your friends.

Indeed!...The best things come to those who wait!.... And I am sure Santa has rather a lot to do, so perhaps it's best we cut him some slack!?

Happy Christmas one and all:costumes:

Interesting...... I'll have to try that. Trying to mix it up with them only yields me quick bursts in passing, perhaps that will allow me slightly longer engagement times, I'll give it a whack!

Yeah no worries, its been relatively quiet here for awhile, and I'm out and about in the city usually everyday. In early 2007 we were averaging 99+ insurgent attacks a day in the city (small arms, IED, VBIED, etc...) towards Coalition and Iraqi Military forces. Today its down to single digits, some days nothing at all. As long as the Iraqi military continues to improve as they have been, and the Iraqi government refrains from falling into corruption, we should have an overwhelming success going into the history books. It's more and more on them now, so we'll see how it plays out. I'll get off my pedestal now! haha Merry Christmas everyone!

God Bless, Danny. On top of Christmas wishes, let me extend to you a heartfelt Thank You from my family to all off you out there. Have a safe and merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year.

Cheers,

John

Strictly as an observer from afar, is the Iraqi Military subjected to the same ( ridiculous in my book) ROE as the allied forces ?

I realize you don't want to make this a political forum, out side of 1915

But I had to ask, of boots on the ground

Feel free to PM the reply

Stay Safe Danny

- keep your head down. hope the rest of your tour goes peacefully, as well as over the festive season.

clear skies & happy landings :cost1:

gimpyguy, PM sent.

Thanks everyone for the support and Christmas wishes! I set my webcam up last night and had my brother put a laptop and cam in the chair I usually sit in for our family Christmas Eve get together every year, so I was "there" last night haha Worked out great! Amazing how technology has advanced, 7000 miles away and was able to party with the whole family. Definitely a slick way to compensate for being away! Best wishes to everyone!

That's cool Danny. I'm glad you could enjoy Christmas "with" the Family. Stay safe. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a heartfelt Thank You to you and all of the guys over there doing what needs to be done.

Gentlemen, something new regarding release? Early in december one says "very very soon"...:wavey: I´m looking forward so much to OFF3!!! (I don´t have Phase 2, i have Vista 64 and i´m waiting for Phase 3):kilroy:

I thought someone in the betting pool said that the game would be released on 29 December? I guess they were wrong.

My bet is next week...5 or 6 January, though I understand in the UK that games tend to be released on Fridays, though since this is a sort of "special production" I am not sure that the normal rules would apply.

I put a new computer together last April with two 512meg graphics cards sli'd in anticipation of the "soon" to be released phase 3 still waiting.......:censored:
