..but there is a sweet new helo for FS9 - the Area51 Oh-51D Kiowa.

The details can be found over in the FSX section. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=29643

I picked up the FS9 version and really like it. :applause: Although the price may seem a little steep, it actually covers versions for both FS9 and FSX. There are six models and eight textures. The sounds and graphics are great, and it handles quite well. :engel016:

The only aspects I would improve would be with the manual and gauges. The manual is lacking in detail as I would have liked some more information on the difference between the various models and what gauges are truly functional. A lot of the gauges work, but it seems to be missing some basic features for operating the HSI for navigation. :isadizzy:

At least you do't have to buy it twice. I have the Area 51 C-5. Needs a sound set but other than that, it is quite impressive.

I had no idea that they did the C-5 for FS2004. That seems more interesting to me.

No guys. The C-5 is a big bird. I'm talking about the little bird. This one in fact..

just purchased the Kiowa
exterior is top also the VC is good looking (although not fully clickable)

my favourite FS9 helo so far:ernae:

if area51simulations could manage to go more into system depth in gauges and VC in the future the will become a big player on fs heli market behind Dodo, Nemeth and Cera (Dodo is in its own unreachable league )

That is a nice-looking model, thanks for the HU.
Difficult to decide whether a fully working VC would be a plus in a rotorcraft -I find my hands pretty full most of the time! ;)
