This is an upgraded version of the fantastic “Normandie-Niemen” campaign done by Alain “Ajax” Pandolfi. His campaign has long been my favorite for the ETO, because it offers such wonderfully dynamic and different challenges each time you fly it. Because of the heavily modified nature of the individual missions, I edited all these missions by hand, making sure to not spoil what makes this campaign so truly great. This campaign has been updated with the following improvements:

CFS2-exclusive...

hello skylane, I'm a basic (old) end-user trying to install the "normandie-niemen" package from scratch on a fresh CFS2 stock.
On the installation guide all the links are pointing on http://www.sim-outhouse.com/.... which is no more available.
I tried to replace ".COM" with ".ORG", but the links failed too. Is there a (quite simple) way to get the updated links ?
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
I did not create this campaign, I just helped moving the files to the new server some months ago, that's why it appears under my name.
As to the links, this is a problem with most of the campaigns in the library which have been uploaded before the server change. The links in the readme documents point to the library of the old server, which doesn't exist anymore.
The only solution is to scroll through the new Resources library and look for the required files. They are there somewhere, it just takes more time and effort to find them.

Hello, thanks for your quick answer. It is unfortunately the answer I was presuming. So, I've to take time and effort, that's it.
Just a last question : have all the resources been moved from .COM to .ORG, or there is still some missing ones, ie to be founded somewhere else?

Our volunteers worked long and hard hours to move all of the files in the library to our new home. It was double checked against the old library files. As of yet, nothing has been reported as missing either. I can't swear we got everything just because of the volumn but I'd bet for 99.9% (y)

Having been part of that effort, I can vouch for that. I was involved in the smallest section (MSFS2020), but with larger files. We downloaded the files from the old server, and reuploaded to this server. One by one, including the text of the posts, thumbnails and screenshots. All of us provided lists with the names of the threads and files that we've done to @Dangerousdave26 . I'm pretty sure that it is 100% or 99.9% as CK says.

But making sure that the readme's in those thousands of files were adapted to the links on the new server was impossible. We only had a couple of months and the number of files was humongous.

Cheers,

Priller

Thank you all. As I did the job on the "Normandie-Niemen" campaign , I give you the result with a updated Install guide ( see attached file). It's my Christmas gift to the sim-outhouse site, hoping it can help some of the CFS2 fans.
Changes were done on the links only. All the new links were tested, with 2 unfound links. The full install itself is not yet tested.
Up to you now to decide how it will be improved, validated, and perhaps posted on the site.
Hoping that I didn't make too much errors.
Bonsoir from France

Thanks FLC for updating the installation guide. I found the missing links 🙉 and updated a couple of others. The new guide is now incorporated in the Normandie-Niemen campaign package.
Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin, nice to see job/pleasure becoming usefull. And because I'm till on this package, I've just finished to debug the missions.
So I add a new contribution in attached file :
This is a patch of the SOH Normandie-Niemen package 2025-01-19.
I did minor changes in some .mis files (typo errors, missing type_id, bad unit_family,...) and in the install guide (required aircraft folder names and few downloads links).

This changes allow all missions to run without error message in CFS2 and to be opened in CFS2 Mission Builder.

File normandie-Niemen 2.0 installation guide20250125.rtf= Updated install guide.
File NN_missions_update2025.rtf =List of changes done on the original mission files.
Folders MISSIONS and CAMPAIGNS, with updated .mis files. To be copied (add&replace) in CFS2 root or NN package

After having applied the patch on .mis files and Aircraft folder names, all the missions started in CFS2 and open in Mission Builder, without any error or information pop-up.
I still not have tested all the missions from beginning to end...that's what I'm going to fly now...
Cheers
