This collection is simply amazing! Thanks for the HU, P. It´s interesting to see how little has actually changed architecturally at those places, same houses right on spot. And how much the events changed these peacefull places in the past.

Fantastic find Panther. The real surprising thing I find is that if I were to find old photos of Danville and take new ones, you would not be able to tell they were the same place. Wonderful how the French maintain their history and we raze ours.

Yep,...noticed the Thunderbolt on the beach too. Makes you wonder if it was shot down (probably) or maybe a mechanical issue.

If it was shot down it had engine failure before it hit the beach. The prop is fine on top. Not all bent back like most belly landings.
