In the last years, I found some pics of ships, which wore a very interesting & colourful dress.

All of them were of nations in neutrality status and this should be seen from far distance!

First ist the Tanker Zelos of Finland, I choosed the Groundcrew T2 tanker as model.

Next is the St.Cergue, a Swiss (!) ship, which I painted around Wolfi`s Hog Islander. This is my fav, as Switzerland doesn`t have a single port directly at the sea.

Third is a ship I would like to paint, but couldn`t find a close looking ship..
It is the Danish Hejmdal of the Danish Fishing Authority, which was captured by the Germans and sunk in Kopenhavn by the Danish resistance.

BTW: When I painted the St. Cergue, I noticed only the after mast`s top is black. This is due to the coaler`s heavy smoke.
I did not stumble over that before, some of my earlier Hog Islander skins feature a black top on both masts, which is now obviously wrong.
 
Does cfs2 accept neutral forces?

If so, then these could be entered into a mission as part of a campaign.
If you attack/sink the merchantman then you lose.

German raiders made their ships look like neutral vessels when ever they
could, Atlantis was one. These are very nice addons, that could be used
allmost anywhere. Anyone like to covert one of the GC T2 tankers to the
USS Cimarron AO-22, and add the destroyer style turrets (4) and some twin or quad 40mm's? A pic of her in a neat camo paint, she served in

We have a Cimmaron-class oiler, though unarmed only.

For the Mimikri of armed vessels (especially Raiders), here are the German HSKs:

Widder as Spanish El Nottuno

Pinguin as Greek Kassos

Kormoran as 'unarmed' Japanese Merchantman, at least staying on the Axis side.

Those waterline models, are they card models or wood or ?
They are very nice, are they all in the same scale? Card modeling
is big in Europe, but not much in the U.S. .

CK, I think they are 1:1250 - made of plastic or resin.

Cardmodelling has a renaissance, you are right.

With modern computer design and new materials, such as the superglue Cyanacrylat (CA) to harden the weak material, as well as etched brass parts incredible is possible.

Many of the best kits/sheets come from Poland and ex eastern world countries.

BTW: Both are ready to DL! I weathered them a bit and for now I am happy with the result.
 
wow
sure beats the cost of metal waterline high detail ships, i had a huge collection of them years ago but the cost and the storage was prohibitive to continue. these are very nice.
