Thank you for the heads-up Maarten!!! I've wanted one of these for years! Downloading as I type:jump::ernae::applause:
WOOHOO!!!!

All right, took a quick buzz around the patch; flies about what I expected, looks great, but I got one question: how does one get the pilot to show up? I tried a couple of the landplane variations and tried the usual keys (lights, strobes, smokesystem, spoilers, et cetera) but so far no pilot; apparently I got Harvey flying this bird:kilroy:

on the flip side, the wingfold was a welcome surprise. Also, putting in the soundset from Milton's DH.80 goes great with this plane.
Quibbles about the pilot aside, this one's still a keeper.

Haven't loaded it up yet, but the enclosed pix don't show a pilot and there isn't a pilot bmp in the textures. Sooo, Harvey best be eating his carrots to maintain his situational awareness skills:icon_lol:.

I always work on the assumption that I am the pilot!! And still 5 hours before I can download this little beauty! :jump::jump::jump:

no instruments on left side

I noticed that there are no instruments on both versions left side vc, and the ones in the 2d panel don't do anything ,they just seem to be for show.

Julian Higgs wrote in the "Read Me": "Instrument panel uses default Gauges".
So what I did was check the panel.cfg which gauges were needed, then copied
the Vickers_Vimy.cab, Lockheed_Vega.cab and DeHavilland_Comet.cab from the default FS2004 Vimy, Vega and Comet into the panel folder of the Fox Moth, and the gauges showed up.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Maarten

yep that worked

Thanks Marrten ,that worked, I now have gauges on both the 2d and VC Fox moth panels.Left sides. Your a genious.

A beautiful little olane. I noticed the "interesting instruments too. I, like Maarten, placed the requisite default .cabs in my gauges folder an Presto... instruments. So excuse me, gotta go flying!

Hi there,

For those who wish to have themselves flown: Julian has traced the pilots for his Fox Moths. (see below)

Cheers,

Thank you very much for the heads-up Maarten. Great work on the Fox Moth Julian, and thank you! :ernae::applause::jump:

Thank you for this one - having worked on rebuilding the real thing, (many moons ago) I'm eager to see how it goes.

Will it loop safely with 12 crates of beer in the front cockpit? (the original could, but, we won't go there....)

Kia Ora SPman!

How great you worked on a real Fox Moth! Not many people can say that nowadays and I suppose you'll be the only one in Flightsimland or at least here at SOH. Brilliant!

I am going on holiday to New Zealand late December. Will travel on the South Island first and then go to the Auckland region. Any idea where "your" Fox Moth currently is based?

Cheers,
Maarten :guinness:
