This one scenery package is harder than any other to maintain and I'm not sure why. MDCMil is a great package of military scenery objects and yet sometimes the whole thing goes south on me. It had been working fine, then it decided to show the objects but without the textures, so I deleted it and downloaded a fresh copy. . .reinstalled (yes I copied the textures and placed them in the addon scenery/texture folder), activated the base package in the scenery library and now. . . .nothing shows up, not even the objects. . .nothing.

Any suggestions?:faint:

Hey Falcon,

It 'could' be your memory... I hate to say it.

I had this happening suddenly near the end of a 1 hour flight in X-Plane last night. Textures started getting goofy.

Try running your computer at a lower resolution and see if that helps. Test the theory.

Are you running 4 gigs of Ram?

Hi Bill,
Yep, running 4 gig, dual core and that library is the only one to be affected. I'll try it out and see though.

Falcon,

The only other thing I can see doing this is the 'work flow' of the computer getting the memory to the system.

For instance, if you have the library on a seperate HD, and are running FS on another HD, and one HD is getting slow or has a slower link, then 'that' could possibly cause the textures to 'slow down' on their delivery to the screen.

I could be wrong. But if the textures are proper, and every thing else is in order, then it seems like they are being blocked or slowed/disrupted....

Bill

Well, that didn't change anything Bill. It's weird, cause I've gone back over Micheal's directions more than once looking for anything I might have missed. . . .copy all the textures from the MCDMil texture folder and place them in the addon scenery/texture folder (done), next activate the main MCDMil Scenery folder in the Scenery Library (done). The library shows up in the Instant Scenery objects list, click on an object. . .nothing.

Also, all scenery is located on the same HD, all in the Addon Scenery folder inside FS9.

Well.. One last thing..

Make sure you have 'no' duplications of anything. That will cause flashing.

If you have a AI bagel set running and its duplicated, that will freak things out. Duplicates of the airfields will do wierd things like crash the system.

Falcon I have the same issue as you. Mine might be related to haveing the lib installed to Fs9 on c drive and FSX on E drive. Although lionhearts suggestion of duplications within Fs9 arent to rule out yet for me.

Got it working again Trans and I can only attribute it to the suggestion by Lionheart. I did a general search for anything with the MCD prefix on my "D" drive (where FS9 resides) and deleted everything I found, I also went into the regedit file and found a few references there which I deleted. I then reinstalled per Michaels instructions and it works.

Thanks Bill:ernae:
