Pat Pattle

SOH-CM-2025
To all my friends en France, hi all, have a few days coming up in Normandy...this is my first visit to the area and I am really looking forward to it. Apart from the all the D-Day museums etc. are there any aviation museums around? Am staying around the Vire local.

Ta,

Pat :)

He's not a hairyspin, but he does have a hairy chin and is wan o' Brutain's hardy sons. Furthermore, unlike his dearest friend, he truly is aalways the perfect chentleman, his manners is chust sublime. And if that means precisely zip to you, then may I recommend the writings of Neil Munro for gentle humour.

If you get to Paris, be sure to visit Les Invalides Museum. Although not directly related to WWII it is one of the best war museum's I've seen. Also, Pegasus Bridge is fantastic. Be sure to watch "The Longest Day" to get a feel for the sites. Have fun!

I watched the film (again) yesterday, the Glider assault on the bridge is my favourite part and Pegasus bridge is top of the list of things to see.

You have to visit a 'fromagerie'! :jump:

Oh yes! Cheese and wine are high on the list too! :)
