Wasn't there a sound package out for this bird somewhere ? I have looked around and haven't seen one. Has to be a better sound then the "Jenny" it is aliased to. Such a beautiful work not to have a sound file to match.

There was a very nice sound set made by James Banks, which was made exclusively available via the Blutwerks site. But I don't think the site still exist and therefore I don't think the sound set can be downloaded any more.

Cheers,
Huub

Blutwerks is gone..??

The sounds Randy had were rotary engine noise, Gnome/Oberusel.

In Stuart's Fokker D.VII there's a Mercedes engine pack, it's sampled from the real thing. I've since updated the set, but haven't upload it anywhere. This is probably a good time to upload that, and the rotary set. There's also a twin rotary set that I never put up, for the Caudron. A real racket.

Gimme a little time to get it all together. For the moment, you could download the Fokker D.VII and create an alias to it. That'll get you in business post haste.

Hmmm...I could be wrong, Huub. I sent Randy a selection of sound folders, the Mercedes sound pack was among them. The only one I remember available was the Gnome/Oberusal, as it went with his excellent Fokker D.VIII (Razor). My memory can often be suspect, it begs distraction.

Certainly the Mercedes recordings are the same set available with Stuart Green's D.VII also, sans the minor unreleased updates. An easy go-get.

Dayjob is heavy currently, given a free afternoon to review for errors, I could upload a decent pile of WW1 sound. Nice to file it in the tidy new library archive.

Perhaps someone in NZ can hop down to Marlborough and record the Oberursel in their D VIII.....

Randy made the soundset avaialble via "The old hangar" as well. It was intended to use with his "Floh". But as magoo already mentioned Stuart Green's Fokker D.VII has a nice soundset as well.

Mr Magoo you have a slightly longer reply via a personal message.

Cheers,
Huub
