Hi OBIO,
I got the IAF paint for the DC-5, put it on right away! Very polished! Hope you got my two photograhps of the prototype Douglas DC-5. As you can see it too was a plain polished alumminun with the X number and letters, Penn Cntral also flew the DC-5 and I am still searching for a photo of that one.
