OBIO & the Beaver

UPDATE:

John Woodward's DHC-2 Beaver, in both float and wheeled versions, has been run through Martin Wright's MDLmaterial to adjust the glass color and transparency, run through Ivan Hsu's MDLC117 to give it full on reflective textures, run through a hex editor to fix the prop blur and VC panel textures (had to remove the refective property from these areas). A new paint template with much more detail has been done, depicting the aircraft as being of full metal construction...as the Beaver was in real life. I have a couple of new paints done for the planes...will be doing more. Will be working up dedicated sound packs for the wheeled and float version of the Beaver. Have sent an e-mail to Mr. Woodward seeking his permission to upload these projects when I have them wrapped up.

After lunch, having home made chicken and noodles and mashed potatoes, I will get some screen shots of the new details on the Beaver and get them posted.

How soon will this stuff be uploaded? No way to say. I have so many projects going on that I sometimes get frustrated keeping them all going at the same time....so I made a list of all my active projects, then prioritized them from most important to least important in terms of how often I fly the various planes. The top three on the list are Brian Gladden's Cessna 140 and 120 (I am making a dedicated C120 out of his C140) and John's Beavers. Once I get the C140 and C120 projects totally wrapped up to my liking, I will dive head first into the Beaver.

homemade chicken and noodles with mashed potatoes!!!
YUM, that's what I call a priority!

thanks for the update,
it's a good one.
I am, by no means, attempting to apply pressure.
(as if it would speed things up)

I am interested in the DHC-2,
as I see Kenmore Air Beavers make daily fly-overs
on the Seattle to Victoria to Seattle circuit.
there is even one painted for a Seattle TV show.
not to mention, there is a nice little bay and Marina
just down the hill from my house,
that would be perfect for a Beaver.

here's hoping Mr Woodward approves...soon

smilo

Do you have any pics of those Kenmore Air Beavers? Might be a neat thing to have one to fly around your area, don't ya think? I am working on painting the freeware AlphaSim C-130 to match those flown by the 179th Air Lift Wing, based at KMFD here in Mansfield, Ohio. I see them daily....they fly directly over my house (which is 3 miles east of the base)....low, slow and loud...my kind of flying for sure.

I looked at the title and thought that was related to the post about the woman in the airplane, I was worried.

LouP :bump:

don't worry, be happy.
and if you believe that...

OBIO, I found them at flightsim,
the Kenmore Air standard is in the 2002 AC area
the Kenmore Air Evening Magazine is in the 2000 AC area

whew, I thought I was loosing it
